Program Info
We welcome children from 30 months to 5 years of age. Our part-time program runs from September to June, following the Thames Valley school schedule for all holidays, breaks, and PD days.
Our preschool class operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Families can choose from three attendance options: 5 days a week, 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), or 2 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday). The class includes 12 to 14 children and is led by two RECE teachers, along with a parent volunteer or supply staff member.
A healthy snack and hot lunch from Growing Chefs is provided daily and we ask you bring a labelled water bottle for your child.
Our program is play-based, offering children plenty of opportunities to learn through both indoor and outdoor play. As a co-operative preschool, we are supported by our families and rely on parent participation. This includes helping with fundraising, assisting with the day-to-day upkeep of the school (such as laundry and garbage), and participating in in-class duty days.

Meet our Teachers
Kristen Fahrnlaender

My name is Kristen Fahrnlaender. I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator and a 2020 graduate of Fanshawe’s Early Learning Education program. I am the mom of three wonderful now, adult children. While volunteering at my children’s schools, when they were younger, I realized how important the early years are in a child’s life. I love seeing a child learn how capable they are and the excitement on their face when they learn a new skill or discover a new interest. At home I love to read and spend time watching movies with my family. I’m so excited to meet you all and work together to make preschool a positive and memorable experience for you and your children.
Tracy Wallace

My name is Tracy Wallace. I have been a RECE for several years. I did my studies in Kitchener, then moved to London a few years later to be with family. I have an amazing 26 year old daughter, who has graduated teacher’s college. I enjoy spending time with family, yoga and hiking. My philosophy is to guide and nurture children’s interests and development. I am looking forward to meeting all the families and having a great year!
Sierra Tjepkema

Hello, my name is Sierra Tjepkema. I have worked with children for nearly 10 years as a private nanny for multiple families across the GTA and London area. In 2023 I graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Childhood and Youth studies. In my spare time, I love to bake and walk my dog, Poppy. My philosophy when working with children is to allow them to explore, discover, create, and they will amaze you! My goal while at Lameth Village Co-op is to assist in nurturing your child’s overall growth from educational to personal development. I am so excited to engage with you all and make your preschool a happy and positive place for your children to grow.
A co-op (short for cooperative) preschool is a special kind of early learning program where parents and teachers work together to create a fun, supportive, and community-focused environment for kids.
Teachers lead the classroom and plan activities, while parents help out by taking turns volunteering in the class, helping with events, and pitching in to support the school in different ways.
It’s a great way to be involved in your child’s early education, get to know other families, and help keep tuition more affordable.
Our preschool class runs Monday to Friday from 9am-1pm. You have the option to choose between 5 days a week, 3 days a week (M,W,F) or 2 days a week (T,TH).
2 to 5-year-olds.
Our class runs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, providing a rich, engaging experience each day. We follow a play-based approach that encourages hands-on learning through exploration, creativity, and discovery. Each day includes opportunities for sensory play, crafting, and interactive activities, all designed to support your child’s development in a fun and nurturing environment.
We have 12 to 14 children in this class with three teachers: two RECE staff and one preschool teacher or parent.

Each family is required to complete three in-class duty days per school year. This requirement may be adjusted to include additional classroom support if requested. Families also have the option to make a $250 donation to the school in lieu of participating in duty days.
In addition, all families are expected to either complete a classroom committee task or serve on our Board of Directors.
Any parent or family member participating in the classroom or serving on the Board of Directors is required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
The teachers use the Lillio app to share photos and communicate with parents.
One of the great things about being part of a co-op is that you can chat with our teachers anytime. We also hold quarterly preschool meetings and send out monthly newsletters to keep families informed and involved.
